Workshop Description

Join artist and educator Phillipa Ellis in a special workshop designed for children aged five and under and their adults.

Little explorers can dig for hidden treasure, create their very own clay coins and uncover the magic of coin rubbing. In this hands-on adventure, we'll use play, imagination and creativity to explore the collection.

About the Artist

Phillipa Ellis is a multidisciplinary artist and educator. Through artmaking, live art and storytelling, she brings young people together in their own way and on their own terms. She holds an MA in Education in Arts and Cultural Settings from King's College London, with specialist knowledge of working with schools, families and early years at institutions including the Hayward Gallery, Tate, Barbican, Royal Academy of Arts and October Gallery. Her research into family workshops in art galleries, Learning Together, was published in the International Journal of Arts Education.
